Val Moreira

Val is the founder of Gladstone Services and a multidisciplinary professional with over 15 years of experience across care, education, and wellbeing, working in both Australian and international contexts.

She holds nationally recognised Australian qualifications, including Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Certificate IV in Personal Training, and is also a certified yoga teacher. Her professional background is further supported by tertiary qualifications completed in Brazil, including a Diploma of Nursing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management. Her professional development also includes recognised short courses such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Mental Health First Aid, and Suicide Prevention, complementing her work across education, care, and wellbeing.

A core part of Val’s practice is language education. As a Portuguese language educator, she designs and delivers structured programs informed by cognitive and memory-based learning principles, supporting attention, recall, and confident communication across Gladstone Services’ language offerings.

Matt Holdt

Matt has over 25 years’ experience as an occupational therapist, working across clinical practice, workplace rehabilitation, and provider management roles. He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy and has worked in acute care, rehabilitation, and workplace-based settings.

Matt also holds a Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics from UNSW and provides a range of preventative and rehabilitation-focused services. His work is informed by a strong interest in clinical research, evidence-based practice, and technology-enabled healthcare, which he applies to support effective rehabilitation outcomes.

Alisa Nyquist

Alisa Nyquist is an experienced art facilitator with a strong focus on creativity, human connection, and inclusive practice. She works confidently with children, teens, and adults of all abilities, including individuals with neurodivergence and NDIS participants.

Her teaching style is intuitive and supportive, creating calm environments where participants feel safe to explore creativity at their own pace. Alisa adapts her approach to suit different learning styles, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.

Before focusing fully on teaching and creating art, Alisa held a senior role at ABC Television, working across marketing, promotions, and branding, with her work receiving national and international recognition. This background continues to inform her approach to visual communication and creative expression.

Shirley Nagau

Shirley is a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of experience in surgical and orthopaedic care. She also holds a postgraduate qualification in breast cancer nursing and has worked across hospital, community, and private care settings. Her expertise includes patient assessment, care planning, case coordination, and supporting individuals with complex needs such as motor neurone disease (MND) and palliative care.

Shirley is dedicated to providing safe, holistic, and compassionate care; always focused on dignity, comfort, and connection. Her gentle presence and genuine kindness bring reassurance to both patients and families alike.

Agatha Maia

English has always been Agatha’s passion and profession. She is a University of Cambridge CELTA-certified English teacher and a certified Neurolanguage Coach®, applying neuroscience principles to help clients transform their relationship with English and build the confidence to communicate with ease. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from GNU in South Korea.

Agatha has worked as a professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea) and Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). In addition, she is an experienced freelance conference interpreter, supporting international affairs, immigration interviews, and global events - building bridges across cultures and communities. Above all, she is a committed and caring educator.

Rizerio Santos

Rizerio leads the cleaning side of Gladstone Services with professionalism, honesty, and an incredible work ethic. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to doing things properly, he takes great pride in every job, big or small. His hands-on approach and strong sense of responsibility ensure that clients always receive reliable, high-quality service. Rizerio dedication and integrity set the tone for his team and reflect the values at the heart of Gladstone Services.

Amanda Freitas

Amanda plays a key role in supporting the cleaning, organizing and decluttering. With a sharp eye for organization and genuine care for people, she helps coordinate schedules, manage communication, and ensure everything runs on time. Amanda is hardworking, honest, and always ready to help. Her positive energy and reliability make her an essential part of the Gladstone Services family.
